Transcend MTS825S M.2 2280 SATA SSD, Up to 530MB/s Read, SATA III, 250GB–2TB

Transcend's budget 80mm SATA option: 3D NAND behind an SLC buffer with no dedicated DRAM. That shows up as slower writing once a transfer outruns the buffer, not in ordinary desktop use.

Available to 2TB. Where the work is video or imaging rather than documents, Transcend MTS830S M.2 2280 SATA III SSD adds a DRAM cache for a small premium and holds its write rate.
