Description
An external optical drive for the jobs that outlived the format: reading an old archive disc, installing legacy software, cutting a copy for someone who still wants physical media. It writes CD-R/RW and DVD±R/RW including dual-layer, and reads DVD-RAM.
The link is USB 2.0 and bus-powered, so the interface limits throughput as much as the 8X mechanism does. Bundled authoring software is Windows-only.
