Description
Worth separating from the rest of the BarraCuda range because it records conventionally rather than shingled: rewriting does not collapse partway through a large transfer, and it behaves sanely during an array rebuild.
It remains a desktop-class drive, with no vibration tolerance for a multi-bay chassis and no firmware for continuous recording. For a NAS, buy the Seagate IronWolf 4TB NAS Hard Drive; for a camera recorder, a SkyHawk.
