Description
The rated speed requires a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, a 20Gbps standard found on some Windows desktops and very little else. Macs top out at 10Gbps over USB-C, so the drive works there but is held to half the link rate.
On a Mac or a Thunderbolt laptop the SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD with USB4 is the version that will stretch its legs. IP65 sealing and the aluminium shell carry across both.
