A budget Gen4 upgrade for a machine moving off SATA. Kingston treats the NV3 as a baseline specification rather than a fixed build: the controller and flash vary between production runs, with TLC on some units and QLC on others, so two drives carrying the same part number can behave differently under load.
It is DRAM-less throughout the range. Where write behaviour has to be predictable, buy a drive with an onboard cache instead.
