Kingston A400 2.5" SATA Internal SSD, 120GB–1.92TB

The least expensive sensible way to retire a mechanical drive in an ageing laptop or desktop: boot and launch times improve out of all proportion to the drive's own modest specification.

It has no DRAM, and Kingston reserves the right to change controller and flash between production runs, so read the rated figures as a ceiling. For a machine that writes heavily, Crucial MX500 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD is the more predictable choice.
