Kingston DataTraveler Max Type-A USB Flash Drive, Up to 1,000MB/s Read, 256GB–1TB

Gen 2 speeds on a Type-A connector - 1,000MB/s read and 900MB/s write - quick enough to work from the drive rather than copy off it first. The host port has to be a 10Gbps one; on the 5Gbps ports built into most laptops half the rating is unreachable.
