Description
The cheaper way into a PCIe 5.0 slot, and still well clear of any Gen4 drive on large sequential transfers. Crucial has since replaced it with the Crucial T705 PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD, which raises the ceiling again.
Cooling is not optional on Gen5 silicon — plan on the board's M.2 heatsink. There is no case for one in a laptop, since no laptop provides a Gen5 M.2 socket.
