Description
A previous-generation Gen3 drive, worth buying when the host only offers PCIe 3.0 — older Intel desktop boards and early Ryzen systems — because a Gen4 drive delivers nothing extra in that socket.
Crucial now files the P5 under end of life, so stock is finite. Where the slot is Gen4, the Crucial P5 Plus PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD is the current equivalent and the better purchase.
