Description
Crucial's entry SATA drive, priced to displace a mechanical disk in an older machine and not much beyond that. It has no DRAM, and its flash has varied between production runs, so sustained write rate is the first thing to give way.
Where the drive holds working data, the Crucial MX500 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD is sounder: Crucial specifies power-loss immunity and RAIN parity there, and rates it to 1,000TBW at 4TB.
